This is my favorite time of year by far! I love the decorations and lights everywhere and although my favorite holiday flick is Irving Berlins White Christmas, as a family- we are more similar to "A Christmas Story". So, it's no big surprise that when I saw THE leg lamp in Walgreen's on Christmas Eve and the manager offered me a discount- I snatched it up faster than a prego with a pickle.
It's a MAJOR AWARD!
For real though- There is a raffle to accompany this Holiday Blog HOP! Want to win? Make sure to enter the raffle.

The first year we had it- I recall Steve standing outside with animated arms guiding me to move it to the right and then the left and then the right again. That was the beginning of our leg lamp journey.
FRA- GIL-É … it must be ITALIAN…
It's highly unlikely you can watch this movie too many times.- in any language. I am in stitches every time I see the unboxing of the LEG Lamp!
We created the top of this crate as a background for the scene (although I forgot to put it out yet this year). It was from the top off a large shipping container and a little free hand with a Sharpie.
What's that behind the desk over there?
All poor Ralphie wants is that Red Rider BB Gun for Christmas. It seems like no one is on board…
String some classic large colored lights around outside your window to frame in this magnificent lamp. Command sticky hooks seem to work well and if you snug them right up to the edge of the light they can help give a pretty straight line of lights.
You'll shoot your EYE OUT!
I have watched this movie more times than I can count and I still don't know what that means exactly…
Th-uck?!? Th-uck?!? TTTHHHH-UUUCCCKKK!?!?!?
This is exactly why you just don't put your tongue out there for anything… and also why I know the true power behind a triple dog dare.
There are a lot of things in this movie that I didn't get when I watched as a kid. Or at least I only got part of them. I love catching new things in movies – and this one will not disappoint. It is packed with details that you NEED to see over and over to really catch. SO, if you haven't seen it – put "A Christmas Story" on your list of Holiday movies to watch and maybe even plan a Christmas Movie Binge Day with your besties or your fam.
